At Biomedica2008 a delegation of Houston was present to meet with Life Sciences companies in the Euregio. Houston is known as a medical “Powerhouse” for cardiology, genetics and oncology. The Texas Medical Center (TMC) is home to some major hospitals and medical research institutions eg. MD Anderson and Baylor. (together they register more than 6 million patient visits each year!). On September 9 -10 LifetecZONe and Lifetec Network were present at the Health & Technology congress in Papendal, Nijmegen. It was the first congress organised by Mikrocentrum targeting knowledge exchange and networking in the field of Medical Technology and Innovation in Care. In Papendal 952 participants were welcomed to this event were representatives from the medical field and the industry talked about new technologies and new medical devices & instruments.
