A TECHNOLOGY CATALYST

The first brainstorm session titled : MKB ontmoet Medisch Specialisten" took place on Wednesday October 4 at LIOF. This was the first of a series of brianstorm sessions in which specialists and SME's work together on the transfer of research prototypes to market prototypes and work closely with one party who is going to market the product.

At this first session several specialists from University Hospital Maastricht (AZM), Maasland Hospital Sittard, and Atrium Hospital Heerlen shared with the assembled SME's their ideas and problem solving technologies to see whether their suggestions could be the starting point for the formation of a cluster leading to the production of , for instance, a new medical tool.

Both specialists and entrepeneurs were participating in a lively discussion, and it seems that this succesfull session will lauch the first projects for the Technology Catalyst. Follow up sessions will be organised for this session, but new brainstorm session will be organised as well.
